At SOSAD Ireland, we provide professional and confidential support to people facing mental health crises. We believe that those who need support with their mental health, should receive it. As a community-led organisation, we rely on fundraising and donations to keep our services running because we currently receive no sustainable funding from the state. Every donation we receive helps us continue to offer support, keep our helpline open, and our centres operational.
The Growing Need for SOSAD’s Services
The need for mental health support has never been greater, and over the past two years, we’ve seen a 31% increase in people reaching out for help. We now offer counselling throughout Ireland (in-person, by phone and video call), as well as a 24/7 helpline. The demand for these services continues to grow as more people face mental health struggles.
However, despite this growing demand, we do not have sustainable funding. This means we are still entirely dependent on the generosity of donors within our communities to continue our vital work.
How You Can Help
There are many ways you can help SOSAD Ireland raise the funds we need.
You can donate online, take part in local fundraising events, or even organise your own activities to raise money. Every donation, big or small, helps us continue to provide life-saving support.
If you can’t donate, you can still make a difference by spreading the word and raising awareness about the services we offer. Your support helps ensure SOSAD can continue to be there for anyone who needs help, no matter where they are in Ireland.
Follow us on social media. Help us to increase our reach organically so that our information makes it to the people who need to see it most.
At SOSAD, we believe in the power of community, and your support makes all the difference in allowing us to keep helping those in need.

Speak To Us In Confidence
At the core of our service is a commitment to discretion and confidentiality. We prioritise the privacy of our clients, ensuring that all service users can trust in the confidentiality of their personal information.
