We are an organisation with charitable tax exemption with the Revenue Commissioners (CHY 17866) and the Charities Regulatory Authority of Ireland (Registered Charity Number 20067328).
Volunteer Board of Directors
SOSAD Ireland is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who work closely with senior team members, ensuring accountability and continuity in all day-to-day operations. SOSAD provides open and transparent disclosure when fundraising from the public. We have appointed a member of the board to be responsible for compliance with the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising.

Christopher Bannon
Christopher’s love of sport, music and stage performance has seen him in many previous roles within the community. He first became involved in Mental Health Advocacy through “Cycle Against Suicide”, and now delivers talks to schools, community groups, and workplaces as a vital part of SOSAD Ireland – Incorporating his lived experience throughout everuthing he does.
Catherine Colbert
Catherine comes from a Youth Work background and is experienced in Community Development, Human Rights and Advocacy. Her work in the charity sector includes being a longstanding volunteer with SOSAD Ireland, and this commitment to mental wellbeing has led to her training as a counsellor.

Maria O’Toole
Maria has been volunteering within the charity sector on a voluntary basis, including SOSAD Ireland, for many years. She has been particularly active on committees. Coming from a background in contact centre management has given her vast experience in both telecommunications and finance.
