IRONMAN 70.3 Triathlon

I am going to Mallorca (Alcudia) to take on one of my biggest goals of my life - to compete in an Ironman 70.3 Triathlon on the 7th of May. 

The Challenge is huge to me as it was something I always dreamed of doing. Only 6 months ago I was a very very bad swimmer and booking this challenge just seemed completely unachievable to me, and now I'm confident I will be able to complete it in the next few weeks.

A bit about me

2 and half years ago began my fitness journey. How I found fitness was when I struggled very badly with poor mental health for many years and I was in a really really low place. So eventually, my partner encouraged me to seek help and I went to speak to a counsellor which I had to pay for. I was unaware of this amazing charity at the time. From the advice taken from the counsellor, he told me to take up a hobby that I think I would really enjoy. This is when I started running. It started off with 3k's to 5k's up to 10k's, then I eventually worked my self up to do a half marathon and a full marathon and that was the beginning of the fitness bug which completely changed my whole life and the goals keep getting bigger and bigger. But I feel that this one small choice made then, has completely changed my whole life for me and my partner Paula and my 3 kids Lily Mae, Odhran and Rian.
