I NEED HELP NOW! 041 984 8754
19th November 2022 is International Men's Day! We believe it is important to mark this day in the calendar as we all have a man that we care about in our lives - be it your father, partner, brother, cousin or friend. Men play a huge part in today's society and with that comes a huge responsibility. We know it can be hard to find a way/outlet to keep your mental health balanced.
SOSAD Ireland is hosting a Men's Day in Courtyard Coffee, Drogheda on the 19th November. We will have music all day by local DJ group BIFB with special guests talking about their chosen outlets/ways of keeping their mental health in check.
We have a Comedian Joe Rooney aka Father Damo giving a comedy gig, Off the side off the courtyard is Potters Snooker Hall where you can play a few games of pool or enjoy a game of virtual golf! James & Iggy will be joining us with their amazing VW converted Van, James & Iggy travel all over Ireland & America in this - So could be a good chance to pick his brains if you have similar projects in mind!
We have the wonderful Boyne Fishermen gracing us on the day to show what an amazing job they do for our community and more.
Boann Distillery has kindly sponsored the Men's Day Raffle with offering some of their top shelf product (Raffle will be launched soon)
With more yet to be confirmed, this is an event not to be missed!
Entry is €5 with all proceeds going directly to SOSAD.
Gerry Gormley's The Passenger will be shown at SOSAD's Men's Day.
We can find ourselves in these conversations once or twice or more in our lifetime - sometimes we won't fully understand but it's what you do next that could impact that person's life for the better.
Let's educate ourselves as to our local mental health services and encourage people to reach out when they need it.
If you need to talk, SOSAD Ireland are here to listen. And if you know someone who could benefit from talking to us, encourage them to reach out.
